Lakeview Elementary School
Address: 1645 South Commercial Street, Neenah, Wisconsin 54956



Date of construction: The original Lakeview building was constructed in 1856. However, since then the school has been relocated. The current building's first segment was built in 1862.
1st owners and their occupation: The original owner of Lakeview Elementary School is unknown. However, in 1937 Earl Hughes purchased the property 

Originally Lakeview Elementary was a rural school aiming to provide education for those ages 4-20.
Design: Lakeview Elementary was built on Mansur farm space after school district no. 3 voted on adding the school due to demand. The school was then moved to the E.S. Pope property, which is where Lakeview is currently located. This building was formed using a brick structure. All of the added sections have also been built using bricks. There are two levels in the school.
Important events with the structure: The original building had four additional parts of the current building added on to it. These were added in 1937, 1951, 1958, and 1968.

Relation to neighborhood and community: Since it was built, many students from Neenah and the surrounding towns have attended Lakeview Elementary School for education. This school has played a large role in the education of Neenah.

Current Use: Grades K-5 Neenah Joint School District Elementary Education School
